From Pacific Aviation Aviation Museum Pearl Harbor.(must visit)
This day in aviation history (March 6, 1942): the Army Air School at Tuskegee, AL graduated the first 5 black military pilots. George Roberts, Benjamin Davis Jr, Charles BeBow Jr, Mac Ross and Lemuel Custis were the first of nearly 100 Tuskegee aviators to complete Army flight training and receive their silver wings. Pictured here is Tuskegee Airman, founding member of Tuskegee Airmen Hawaii, and Pacific Aviation Museum volunteer Philip Baham with his Congressional Gold Medal.
