Not a big hit for us with military retirements, but others not so lucky will feel a pinch every 2 weeks for a while. The bad part of all this is the loss of some of our contractor support. Some have been let go permanently (3 in our office alone) and some with big cuts in their hours. I feel bad for them for sure. I know us Feds have a bad rep, but we've got a lot of good people doing good things in the FAA anyway. We'll see how this all works out. The price we have to pay to live in the greatest country on earth. Oh well, lunch half hour over and back to work.....
Yeah, DoD has it bad, huh? I work for an agency with federal funding. No cuts yet, but once our contingency funds run out............who knows?
