To say you don't like the car is fine. The very best cars can't and don't appeal to everyone.

For me the styling is a reach. I worked on the C6 and XLR. The XLR was the reach, the C6 was a wonderful evolution (and I never minded the interior as much as many)

But if you want to judge by the numbers.....................oh wait we don't have those yet. I think what we heard was "at least" or "more than" 450 HP.

If I ever buy one it will be for the package not a HP number or torque number.

So please list all the cars with 450 HP? You seem to think they are all over the place.

Ford only has one and it will cost you much more than a Stingray.

Fiat? They have the Viper and that will cost you 2 Stingrays to put in your garage. An SRT8 Dodge or Chrysler will cost you almost as much as Stingray and neither of those would you really want to take to the track. And neither of them are "common".

Honda? Zero
Nissan? GTR
Mazda? Zero
Toyota? LFA
Subaru? Zero
Hyndai/Kia Zero (Sorry the R spec is only 429 and the Equus will set you back more than a Stingray)

So now you are common if you get to Porsce. So does the Cayman have 450? Nope. Base 911? Nope. Go to the Porsche web page and only the Turbo models are over 450. And those will again run you the cost of 2 Stingrays.

So list all the mid 50 to $60,000 cars than that will run a "less than" 4.0 second 0 - 60 and get "more than" 26 mpg and have "at least" 450 HP.

Oh and add drive it to Florida on vacation with luggage and 2 sets of golf clubs because the Stingray will do that all day long.

Go!!!

It's ok not to like it. You are just trying to use 450 to bash it as if that is a regularly achieved number. It isn't.

Thanks for the novel.

Camaro: 30k, 426hp.
NEW Corvette: add another 30-35k to your bottom line, and only add only 24hp?

May I point out that even the lowly Mustang GT makes 420hp. It's an unimpressive number, any way you spin it.

Not as unimpressive as the styling, but still.
