yet you ignore the fact that we sell far more goods and services overseas than we import. if not for energy, we would have a massive trade surplus. the difference is we have progressed to the point where we no longer engage in much low end manufacturing. we leave that to third world countries. we now produce and export computer equipment, heavy equipment, airplanes trains, ect.
the world, and the US has changed. You want to prosper in a first world country like ours you better get an education or learn a trade. the days of working on a stamping line for a moderate salary with a pension at the end of the journey are gone.
