I'm sorry, Caddy screwed up with the ATS. Far too small and priced right on top of the current CTS. Nice car with great handling but to fully compete with the 3 series BMW GM needed to leap frog the 3 series, not just match it. Since the DTS left Caddy has nothing for their more traditional buyers, and I don't mean the social security crowd. There are plenty of folks under 55 looking for a front engine, rear wheel drive V8 mid to large size sedan with performance, style and luxury. Now you have to look at A8 Audi's, 5 series BMW's and Jag's for that. The STS and DTS offered size, style and in certain trims a decent amount of performance. The CTS-V is great but the SC LSA is just too much for a DD, a LS3 or L99 N/A version would have been nice. Down side is the CTS-V and regular CTS models values drop like a rock. Wife and I like the current CTS but are afraid of the pictures we've seen of the '14 CTS and she would prefer a V8 to a turbo V6. She even would settle for the current V6/auto trans powered premium CTS IF Caddy would fix that floppy ( reminds me of clothes on a clothes line outside ) window shade sunroof cover ( make it a hard slide like her DTS ) OR offer the CTS sedan with the premium package w/the touring and Recaro seat package but delete the sunroof, neither of which is going to happen. That's why we have hopes for a Cadillac version of the SS, upgraded interior and a few additional comfort/luxury options.
