As far as the soldier fanatics thing- I think that's more Iran. Everything I've seen and read on this leads me to believe that people join the army just to be able to eat in NK. Even though the army gets crappy rations, at least they get something. I'm sure they have some fanatics- but I've read that they have to keep guards on their own soldiers to keep them from running.
