The LS-3 V8 is nice (better than the new AFM LT1) but again GM screwed up by only offering a boring slushbox instead of a 6-speed.
The Chevy SS on the heavy Holden G8/5gen Camaro platform will be nothing more than a stopgap measure until the new lighter alpha platform cars arrive 2 years from now...
With a 6 speed at least it would have been a Lexus IS with a LS-3 V8 and kind of interesting...
After the new Vette another disappointment and I don't get my hopes up too high for the new AFM-LT1 Camaro because of AFM and probably bland looks looking at Chevy's latest offerings...
They should put the blindspot detector on the Camaro...

The with the Cruze Diesel that is Auto only.
The new GM is starting to look awfully lot like the old one.
Not run by enthusiasts but bean counters...
Of course the sell more automatics. But don't call it a SS if is is only a cruiser for old farts or familiy guys...
SS stands for Super Sport and not super slow,my wife doesn't know how to use a stick...
It has a 6 speed. Just not a manual transmission.

The Holden shown last week had a manual transmission. I would guess you are seeing launch content? And no where did it say "no manual trans".

And is it possible that the manual trans car will come with, dare we hope?, an LS9? Rumors from down under had cars driving around with noticeable supercharger whine.

Would an LS3 automatic and a LS9 manual make everyone happy?

That seems like a combination that would send the competition to the bench.

Oh and when I try to price out a Dodge Charger SRT it not only doesn't offer a manual trans, it only has 5, yes five, speeds. Not 6 like the SS.
