Based on the thread title, I was expecting to see a picture of the offending gall bladder.
The machine really makes for minimally invasive surgery. Laparoscopic is definitely the way to go. You'll be pretty sore for a while, so take it easy, no heavy lifting for a few weeks. Did they put you on a low fat high-fiber diet?
