Craigslist. Keep an eye out for cars that have been on there for weeks, people will be willing to deal. My last project, a '69 Mustang Fastback, guy wanted 7500 for a non-running car. I offered him 3000 and walked away. He called me two days later said I could have it for 3500.
Drove home, threw a battery in it and it fired right up, purred like a kitten after a carb rebuild.
