Oh I get that it will be more fun to drive.
But I'll use your mileage as an example.
45,000 per year = 42 mpg Cruze diesel = 1,071 gallons
38 mpg gas Cruze = 1,184 gallons.
Today's prices here: Diesel 4.39 Gas 3.59
Diesel per year at 45,000 miles = $4701
Gas per year at 45,000 miles = $ 4,250
(And yes I get the mpgs will vary, this was to just give people the idea of how much a diesel is actually saving you.) Or in this case, costing you more
