the era of cheap diesel engines is long gone.

EPA 2007 added exhaust soot filter systems (ATDs) and 2010 added selective catalyst reduction tech (piss fluid) to the mix so diesels cost several thousand more than a gas engine.

yesterday at work one of my guys replaced a NOX sensor on an 2011 Isuzu NPR turbo 4 cylinder that I had diagnosed and ordered the sensor.
cost $500 for one sensor and made in germany, daimler licenses the BlueTec SCR to most diesel truck engine makers.
