I test-drove all 3 cars you mentioned to trade my 2002 SS 6-speed on but I decided for me it was not worth the money.
- gen5 SS,too small trunk and horrible visibility
- SRT 396 nice looking on the outside but boring/horrible on the inside and
way too expensive especially compared to the Camaro SS
- GT 5.0 no torque, stick axle and cheap plasticy interior like my gen 4 SS..

I'm waiting for the gen6 now...or buy a used C 6 since the C 7 is technically basically the same as before but looks too japanese to me...
Still love my 02 SS more than paying an extra $30K on top of my trade in on something new that is really not that much better...I.M.H.O
Would like to read an honest comparo/your take of things...

Well as you can see by my list I now own the cheapest of the 3 , actually I loved my 392 it was by far my favorite. I needed to free up some cash but I still wanted a toy. This used 5.0 was for sale cheap so I grabbed it. It's no where near the car the cammed SS or 392 was but it is fun and it's slowly getting faster
