To me GM is mainly WORRIED that it would take away Camaro sales. To me this is the EXACT reason we have not seen a small car like this anymore.
Also something tells me at this point, they would want to start "from scratch" if they truly plan to build a smaller RWD car so they can optimize any new tech/designs that are the most up to date.

I'm eager to hear Fen's response.
For the part of what I'm aware of...the biggest reason they can't/won't reuse the Kappa platform has to do with the fact that it's inherently expensive to produce, and wasn't what anyone could consider a "remarkable" car...fun, and exciting additions to the now defunct brands, as they were.
If they re-released another roadster...I think they'd almost have to start from scratch to make it worthy of the "new" GM.
