I understand the LS series : LS1, LS2, LS3, LS6, LS7 and LS9

But GM has already used the "LT1" label in the 90's as well as the LT4.

So using "LT1" again does not make sense. Just saying...the specs on this new base motor seem amazing with VVT and flipping from a 6.2 to a 3.1 V4 to save on gas ..very cool..

It should have had a new name maybe LS10 would have been better ...
