There are a number of cars on this site pushing 1200 and more.. Scoffing at 650 or pretty much anything else is somewhat of a Freudian Complex IMO...
I've had my butt handed to me by cars with way less hp... It all depends on what the car is built for, the attention to detail in the build, and driver ability...
As for power, in the end, the winner is the one with the deepest pockets... As to the winning of races, that's a toss up depending on the build, type of driveline, etc... And of course, driver ability...
My car is built for high speed, thus, lots of cars with 650 or 700 hp will leave me on a 1/4 mile track, but let's turn it up and run a mile.... I haven't seen anything on here yet that will run with me, but there will be at sometime... All records are meant to be broken.... And hopefully I'll be breaking one in March, at the Texas Mile, and then someday someone will beat mine... Oh, and moving this to the proper sub-forum..
