Id say Nissan has good engineers, but I lost alot of faith with them over how they handled the GTR. They had the chance to lay the ultimate smack down of track cars, but instead the greedy execs running the show have turned it into the laughing stock of the automotive world.

I trust Subaru more than any other Japanese car company on these types of things. Yes the Evo has always done its job very well, so Mitsu deserves their kudos as well, but when it all goes down I'd rather be in an STi than an Evo.

Hate to break this, but if the car does turn into an STi variant, their is no way its going to stay at under 2900lbs. The 300/300 boxer engine from the STi line is too much for that car without some sort of reinforcement. They put the more powerful engine in there and you'll see the weight grow. Even so it'd end up looking like an RX-8 with a 300hp engine.... mmmmmm....

A tick over 13.0 sec. and you're through the quarter-mile. It's a rush, of course, but not overly dramatic. Try the same thing with this pair's predecessors of 1970 or so and you'll find yourself in a bit of a wrestling match. Ain't progress wonderful? Maybe yes, and maybe sometimes it's fun to wrestle."
