However, we still have a much, much smaller contingent of these things still with us today. We just adapt and flow with the time periods we live through.... Can any one of us imagined back when we were kids how we communicate today with computers, smart phones, etc?? Not me!!!

I can see your point. I remember when VHS tapes and tape players came out. You could go to a local store to rent a VHS movie.... everyone thought it would kill movie houses. We did lose a lot of drive-in movie theaters but not too many indoor movies. Now we have DVD's, blue-rays and streaming video - but the movie houses are still doing a good business. Hmmmm.
