Not sure how old your sight is, but this issue was addressed years ago. I had a problem with an older model years ago. I called EOTech and they sent me a new battery holder for nothing. I'd recommend contacting them.
The newer EOTechs do have 1/3 cowitnessing, but I think they're called backup iron sights for a reason. I personally don't like running optics and irons at the same time.

The Eotech came standard on my RRA Government Model LAR-15 (civilian version of the model produced for the DEA)along with surefire quad rail, surefire weapon light, hogue grip, rra 2 stage match trigger, 16.4 inch heavy barrel, Blackhawk sling ect. It was a hell of a package 5 years ago. And to think I paid $800 at a pawn shop for everything. It retailed for around $2300.00
