It is up to everyone to make their own choice in this matter. We just know that it works for us. Susan has been running half marathons with no issues and this spring is going for her first full marathon. Once I get back on the road due to knee surgery we plan on doing the Rock & Roll Half in Las Vegas this coming December. You get to run the strip at night. That should be really cool to see.

I can pretty much guarentee that anyone using a diet without complete proteins and is building muscle is supplementing with either a Whey Protein or BCAA'S, without amino acids(found in meat sources and dairy)proteins are pretty much useless.

As with most things there are exceptions but in general this is the case. The body requires certain nutrients to thrive and eliminating a food source such as complete proteins deprives the body of them.

There are some who build muscle with a vegan approach but they are far and few between.

As you said, it is up to the individual to make their own choices mine include complete lean proteins MEAT.
