I don't think the resistamce would be against the goverment, so much as NATO forces. There was a picture floating around from a guy (in America) who was stopped at a railroad crossing and saw NATO marked tanks and apc's rolling by on the rail cars. The other problem is that the vast majority of the American military would immediately become part of the civilian resistance, because most are strong pro-gun-freedom.
