Back before 1968, Formula One racing was done in National Racing Colors, and cars had very little, if any, sponsorship decals

Green was Great Britain's color for example. Ever hear of "British racing Green"? It's because of their National Colors

Italy was....Red. That's why Ferrari is so famous for its 'testa rossa' cars. It just means "red head", but that's why Ferrari is so heavily linked to the color

The United States had two color schemes actually. One was White with a Blue Stripe. The other was Blue with a White Stripe. The Blue color with white accent is the more common iteration. My car is Imperial Blue Metallic with White stripes- US Racing Colors
