Just a matter of choice for each individual.
My reason is for racing. One car is a boosted big block with a 5 speed. This one will be a TT small block auto. They are both fun and each has its pros and cons.
As long as you are happy, cool.
I am not sure why you started the thread with a throwdown to the manual group: 'has that old stupid " you gotta have a manual or your not a man " attitude gone away?' but it is user preference.
Either way enjoy your Camaro if you decide to order one.
