my mother is in the market for a handgun, essentially for home defense/concealed carry possibly. would actually be used by anyone in the house (her or her husband, but he doesn't like guns...which is weird) - anyway, i was thinking 9mm but not sure what would fit her needs. any recommendations? she doesn't want one of those tiny compact girly guns, she wants something with stopping power but i don't think she's really ready for a 40 or 45.
