except that there is absolutely no evidence to suggest that tighter gun control leads to less violent crime. places like Chicago, NY, LA etc; with the strictest gun control laws in the country have the highest violent crime rates. gun control laws are like locks..............they keep honest people honest. to think a trigger lock law, or firearm ban would have prevented what happened in that school is beyond naive.

drugs are illegal and we have plenty of laws again using, owning, or transporting them, plus spend billions a year to keep them out of peoples hands. how's that been working out?
