You need to have a smoke test done to see where the leak is coming from. I would install a new gas cap and then reset the code to see if that was the problem. Sometimes the rubber gasket on the gas cap wears away.
If they do not find a gas leak during the smoke test, they may need to replace the tank and the connections to it to make sure it is gone. Sometimes the charcoal canister connections need to be replaced too.
I assume your gas mileage has gone done since this happened correct?
