Awesome stuff.
I had all the God given talent I could ask for but there is such thing as being too small. And my poor son takes after me.
So it's really cool for you to share this with us.

I hear you about the "too small" My boy topped out at 5'11" playing LB in the state of Tx. Despite being all state 4A in his junior and senior year and a 3 year starter in Varsity he was snubbed by the big schools.
His recruiting was very frustrating. Looked over by Texas, Oklahoma, Texas A&M, Notre Dame (we are devout Catholics. He was courted by Baylor, Rice, Ok state, New Mexico(where i played), smu and a bunch of FCS (div 1AA) and div II schools.
The Airforce recruiter showed up at the house about Christmas time 2008 and had good things to say. He has played all 4 years and plays with a bunch of other undersized, over hearted guys with huge chips on their shoulders. Oh, and they are all really driven and pretty damn smart to boot. Our biggest lineman is 265lbs! Oh, and he has a pretty good job waiting for him in May when he graduates!
Its funny because they play Rice in the Bowl game. He was recruited by Rice but they chose a guy named Jarek Lancaster because he was an inch taller. Turns out Lancaster accepted the offer then later screwed them and went to Stanford to play. Lancaster has never started at LB but has played special teams for Stanford.
My boy's chip has grown just a bit since finding out Rice will be the opponent!!!
Should be a good game. Look for #45 at inside LB on 29 Dec. I think the game is 1045 or 1145 local time?
