Read the article, they do state production cars will have 4 doors. That is just wrong. Not even the Mustangs in their dark days of the late 70s had 4 doors. Might as well make a station wagon...........with faux wood paneled doors........ugh

There will be some differences, of course. While the production version will have four doors, the Nascar-spec will have none (the driver climbs in the window). The body is actually a more coupelike shape, typical of Nascar racers of yesteryear — when only coupe-bodied models were eligible for racing. Coupes are no longer available, though, as most manufacturers have discontinued full-size two-door production models because of slow sales.
