Yeah I'm struggling to see what the real difference is between the coming ATSV and a GN/GNX. Either would be sweet (a GNX would be the only thing that might sway me from an SS) but I don't see space for both. I'd wager this doesn't happen but not without a lot of agonizing at GM.

Its impossible to say, since we know nothing about the ATS-V and even less about a GNX but I would expect the ATS-V to be possibly smaller, possibly more powerful, definitely better handling, more luxurious, and more expensive. Stylistically, I would expect the Buick to have a more organic/flowing look compared to the more sharply defined lines of the Cadillac.
Afterall, just because 2 vehicles share a platform doesn't mean that they have to share 99% of their parts. You can have different body work, different wheel base, different track widths, different body style, different interiors, and different power trains. Keep in mind that this:
