And cam there are 4 class's that run in the LeMans and American LeMans
LMP1 = LeMans Prototype 1
LMP2 = LeMans Prototype 2
GT1 = Grand Touring 1
GT2 = Grand Touring 2
You have winners in each class and an overall winner , they all compete together , which makes for some very interesting racing . As for the car wash , that was because they had such a huge lead and they wanted the car to look good at the finish for photo opps . Hope that made it a lil. more clear for you
