The automotive industry is a lot bigger now. If Wagoner is going to do anything to reclaim GM, he'll probably take over some other company then buy out his favorite GM assets.
If I were going to do this, I would try to buy the dead brands and bring them back. I'd buy Oldsmobile, Geo, and Pontiac. I would make Oldsmobile a luxury brand with a couple of economy cars. I'd make Geo an all-green brand with no performance cars. I'd make Pontiac the performance division. I would not make any trucks because Chevy, GMC, Ford, and Dodge already have that market. The only alternative would be to buy Hummer.
