There's another setting in there where you can choose what kind of audio mixing you want, like if you want to boost the lows or highs or both. I have it boosting both the highs and lows. I also play with a 7 channel home theater system though. I'm not sure what your audio source is. I haven't tried listening to it straight out of the tv yet.
