Bose are good, just not for your avid home audio enthusiast or the money. I used a Bose system for a long time and for what it was, they were good. They were not as good as I paid for though. I could have spent the same amount on a basic Klipsch system and would have been happier in the long run. But, I went with Bose cause I was new to the game and with the type things I watched or listened to. They make AWESOME garage speakers and take up very little space these days. But back to what you originally posted. There are some very nice systems out there but wireless is not the way to go. Especially if you are wanting something for a good home audio. Wireless just isn't the way to go. But if that is what you want then you will pay even more for a good system. Its like SWAT said above, it all depends on your $$$$ flow. Polk makes some pretty good entry level systems as well as Klipsch. I personally like Klipsch better but they get pretty pricy once you start building a home theatre. Your receiver plays a huge role in what your speakers do. Spend a couple grand on descent speakers and watch it all go to waist with a $300.00 receiver. It's a marriage that has to work together when it comes to home audio. And thats why people buy Bose most of the time. It comes as a complete system and for what it is, sounds pretty good. Just don't be upset if you want that movie theatre experience and your not getting it. Cause with Bose you won't. Just my $.06
