I went with the z06 and it is an awesome car, but it's really just not a fun car to drive on weekends. It doesn't get the attention, isn't very comfy and just doesn't have that "wow" feeling when you drive it. I've only had it for about a year and I'm already looking for something else.
Very good points, thank you. You're not the first person to say that about the Z0, which makes me slightly apprehensive about the Z06. Yes, I am looking for something with a good competitive track setup, however I would certainly use it for a lot of weekend cruising. I would probably only be at the track once per month and during the season.

I would prefer a N/A Porsche vs the turbo. The turbo is great get-up-and-go speed but they aren't very track oriented like some of the N/A models (GTs).

Again, the GT-R just doesn't do it for me. I appreciate its performance abilities and build quality, but it just doesn't light me up for some reason.

I haven't looked much at Lotus. I was a big fan of the Espirits back in the day, but I'm not a huge fan of the little one.

This would be awesome, but to find an ACR in my price range, the stars would have to align perfectly. There are quite a few Vipers available in my area... The downside to that is they are mostly at this shadey dealer here that is known for hammering wrecked exotics back together and selling trojan horses to customers.

Good discussion so far though, keep 'em coming!
