You have to understand that these statements are not only habitual but, sometimes generational. Someone mentioned 3 on the tree. That is how I learned to drive a stick (manual). No one ever mentioned manual, it was usually I have a 4-speed. Please don't ask me about vent windows or the crank handles on the door.
