It seems we've pretty well completed the discussion. I have nothing more to add based on anything Spike has posted, and it looks like Spike has thoroughly explained his criteria/opinions too.

I've repeatedly stated that I find those items to be pure rice, and that I dislike them...and also that I love the Camaro anyway.

Whether they qualify the whole car as "riced out", I'm not so sure...when I say "riced out" I usually mean a car that is more extreme -- either having rice elements that are more extreme, or having a larger quantity of ricey elements.

The gills and mail slot are somewhat understated and less obtrusive than common rice. The gills aren't actually cut into slots, nor are they painted a different color or stuck on with adhesive. The mail slot is small and doesn't have anything other than its slottiness to draw attention.
