For some reason the old Dodge/Mopar stuff seems to bring more money than say a comparable Ford or Chevy product... I've been watching for a long time for a Challenger, or Charger project I could actually afford, and they are rediculously priced... It looks like a pretty solid car from the pictures... IF you could get it for $3k you'd be doing pretty good IMO, but might as well start at $1500. You can always go up, but you can't come back down. I suspect the guy may want 4-6k or more from what I've seen Mopar projects go for, but maybe not and he's hoping you'll throw out a stupid number.

I wouldn't say the trim tag being off the car is a huge deal, I believe on the Chargers the trim tag is just held on with phillips head screws, not riveted on like Chevy stuff. A lot of the same info from the trim tag will be in the vin... Make sure as much as possible matched between the vin number decode and the trim tag. And make sure the vin matches the title... If it's got no title, might as well just walk away now.
