That's right. I got a 2000 Silverado. The best design Ive ever delt with. Although the headlamps high and low beam are 13 years old and original, never burned out yet. But the DRL's below the headlamps have been replaced about 3 times. They also are easy to replace. Like you said,(no tools required!).
