Well, it's kind of the same thing.
Body-weight exerices for high-rep and constant movement are terrific ways to shed lbs and get a tone look, but what they do for "cardio" can be a bit over-rated. I have seen some people who think they are all big and bad after they get done with the program and they can't run under a 10 minute mile or swim the length of a pool. Some of my fellow lifters and fighters tried P90x and insanity to shed some weight, and they had great success. However, they also lost 10%-15% of their max lifting strength during the process, and did not gain any explosive power.
A balanced workout will encompass a little bit of everything. Run/bike/swim 2-3 days a week, weights 1-2 days a week, interval circuit train 1-2 days a week. This kind of program will not only help you look and feel great, but you will have far greater performance ability.
