It's not so much silly as it is quirky and different. The targeted consumer is obviously young, first-time buyers, just starting out, living in large cities. The kinds of cars marketed to these people need to be different and stand out. Look at the Fiat 500, smart fourtwo, they all have odd color schemes or interior trims.
So yeah, a bunch of folks on here may find it silly. But considering how well Spark has sold in its first month or so of retail sales in limited markets, I think GM has a potential winner on their hands.
