It's not because of the exchange rates.
There's a huge Tariff for vehicles not made in China, plus there's a tax on vehicles with engines over 1.6 litres. I haven't seen anything about 200,000 Camaros, I think that may just be a paying over MSRP for the new model sort of thing.
But from the AP:
"Priced between about $76,100 and $87,100, the Enclave is Buick’s first luxury SUV exported to China.
Dealers are taking “reservations” for the limited edition Cadillac CTS-V, which costs about $160,000, GM said."
So you can see that typically the price ends up being around double. And those prices are American Dollars.
