I was in Iwakuni Japan ending a 6 month deployment , waiting to board a plane Sept 12th there, 11th here. Had just had a guided discussion with my Marines about the history of Pearl Harbor, and how America would never be attacked again like that so brazenly. I was looking forward to coming home, because my anniversary is Sept 10th (yep today 18 years). At the time it was 7 years, and I'd been deployed 4 of them. I'll never forget that day.
