and I do it because it needs/has to be done. Its a choice I made years ago and while it hurts to be away, it compensates in other areas (like super cheap health insurance and extra money in my pocket... esp since my last promotion)
I worry about how she's going to do when she gets a little bigger and I'm gone for weeks at a time. right now and when she was younger, it wasnt so bad, but now, she's becoming her own person and is a lot more aware and understanding of things going on around her

Yeah that must be hard. I'm sure when she is a little older you can explain, and while it still may be hard she will understand. Ya gotta do what ya gotta do. Youre a good Dad, she is lucky to have ya!
