I try to tell people that firearms are tools, just like hammers, screw drivers etc.. Never lose respect for them, or like most tools, they will bite you. Don't be afraid of them, respect them and they will serve you well.

And it's a whole new level of caution when children are in the home..... I hate those tragedies
