Unfortunately, I don't have the money or the time to have a project car. I can really only afford one car (the motorcycle was cheap enough to count as just entertainment) and it needs to work for a daily driver, rain or shine, without fail.
Thus, a new car. And since I can't afford a Camaro, the only other three chevys I would consider are the Corvette (which is WAY out of the price range), the colorado (which would only be worth it if I were fixing up the bike too, which may end up becoming a much longer-term project than originally planned. Simply because of time at the moment. I'll have to do it one weekend at a time, which could take months or even year(s) - definitely not till next summer), or the HHR.
And the HHR just has so much potential.
