Oh I get it.
If you listen to the police officer in the 911 call you hear him say. "Our cars are goverened to 100 mph and he's pulling away from us." So you think swerving around traffic at probably 110-120 mph, losing all power steering would be a good idea? Let me ask you this. Did he hurt anyone? Would he of if, while evading traffic he lost all power steering? Chances go way up. I'd say that he did the people around him a giant favor by not disengaging his power steering.
