The crossover SUV market has never really excited me. As far as I'm concerned, anything less than a Jeep (Compass & Patriot excluded) should not be considered a SUV, rather tall wagons or sport vans. That's why I give the Aztek a pass, because I see that whole market as ugly cars.
The Aztek, while hideous, still managed to fit within the looks of other Pontiacs... To me, this Impala comes across as a bad mix of previous generation lines that don't fair well with a modern spin. Aside from the badges, I don't see as strong of a tie-in, with the rest of the lineup. I feel that the Impala would be better off looking like a larger Malibu.
