Smoke! Smoke! Get the fire extinguisher out!

Good old Lucas apparently reared it's ugly head and caused a little fire in a Lotus Elan as it was waiting at an intersection near the C&C lot. Luckily, it seems that the owner got to it early enough not to have 'cause much damage.

It was a good thing it didn't catch fire in the lot as there were plenty of beautiful woodies around. This was Woodie day, the once ubiquitous surf mobile. Besides the usual Ford woodies there were woodies from Oldsmobile, Dodge, International and even a woodie from across the pond!

I'd write more about the event but I'm a bit excited because it looks like I will be going to Monterey, CA this weekend for car week. I really don't have the money to go, but I have a bunch of people pressuring me to go regardless. I have a friend who already offered to drive me up and we might have someone offering us space on the floor of his room. If worse comes to worse we'll sleep in the car. I've been told it's an amazing must do thing for any car guy. As far as the events go, we're still not sure what events we'll be able to go to. But it should be good regardless.
