I had a feeling someone was going to mention something like this. I'm simply talking about American car brands. For over 60 years, NASCAR has traditionally been an all-American manufacturer sport. It's only recently (Toyota in 2007) when an imported brand was introduced in NASCAR.
If you are referring to the "global" chassis of today's production cars (foreign and domestic), it is irrelevant. Modern NASCAR chassis and drivetrains are all engineered and built in America. NASCAR cars have nothing in common with production cars.
Don't get me wrong....I appreciate the racing heritage and global achievements of Toyota, Honda, Subaru, Nissan, etc. They just don't belong in NASCAR.
