That was kind of disgusting...
The great moments I was talking about were the swimming medals for 17 year old Missy Franklin, who passed up endorsements so she could keep swimming with her high school swim team, and also continued to train at home with her "unknown" coach. And the medals in gymnastics - Gabby Douglas is the first American woman to win both the individual all-around gold AND the team all-around gold, and a year ago, she almost quit, but her sister talked her into sticking with it. And double amputee Oscar Pistorius making it to the semi-finals in the 400 meter in track. And Michael Phelps becoming the most decorated Olympic athlete in history...
There's some really inspirational stuff. I'm a little sappy, so I've been shedding a few tears while I watch....
