former SS owner new Zl1 owner

Hey guys I'm new to the forum, I've been creeping along time, soaking up alot of info. Nobody knows Camaros like you guys. I purchased a new SS in the beginning of June. I loved the car, but it needed some horsepower. I had Mayhem Motorsports put a set of Kook headers, CAI, set of flow masters and a Maggie, and had it dyno tuned. That did the trick, loved the car, still wanted to do more. The car had the ground effects and the 21" wheels. I loved the Zl1 hood so ordered a sun coast Zl1 replica and rear spoiler. I went to my local dealer and had an appointment set for the next day to have them paint the hood and fenders because it was silver ice metallic. I wanted a Zl1 the whole time but my dealer said some guys have been waiting almost a year and I figured I would wait until they are more readily available. I received a call from the dealership that night and they said they had a 2013 Zl1 on the showroom floor! I went down with the intent of "just looking". As soon as I layer my eyes on the car I knew I had to have it. It was breathtaking!! It was the first one I've seen in person. It's Ashen gray with the black rims and an exposed Carbon fiber hood. Pictures don't do these cars justice. Those cars are Evil looking! I talked them into giving me a decent number for the SS. I took it back to mayhem tho have them remove the headers and Maggie and put it back to stock. I sold the headers and Maggie, through Mayhem. Didn't do too bad there either. With the money I'm giving the Zl1 a work out. Headers, xpipe, CAI, pulley kit, injectors, plugs, and dyno, with no extra money out of pocket. Overall I'm pretty happy with the deal, lost more than I wanted to on the trade in, but it was worth it. These new cars are sick! The quality is impressive, attention to detail unmatched. Chevy has made me proud! I still have the hood and it's for sale. have an appt. Next week to have the work done, and as soon as she hits 1500 miles I'm going to the strip. Jay said I should have 600 at the wheels, we'll see. I really look forward to being a member. This site is awesome.
